Alexa is a licensed, compassionate and motivated therapist with comprehensive knowledge in the effects of mental health on the overall quality of life. She is passionate about building trust and rapport with clients through a strengths based approach, reflecting listening, and empathic interpersonal skills. Alexa is currently working on earning her Certified Eating Disorder Certification at Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. She is seeking further education in the treatment of eating disorders in order to treat and maintain recovery for our clients. Alexa currently offers experience with victims/survivors of interpersonal violence, the daily impacts of depression and anxiety, and identifying disordered eating patterns and maladaptive coping mechanisms. She provides both therapy and assessment services using a holistic lens in order to assist individuals in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their specific needs.
Alexa has worked in a variety of settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, emergency room crisis services, a school dedicated to supporting the social and emotional needs of older adolescents, and a safe house for human trafficking survivors. With this experience, she has been able to effectively work with individuals in many stages of life and can support a variety of needs. Alexa works in collaboration with her clients in order to stabilize and foster change. She offers a safe space to help attain clarity, encourage autonomy, and instill hope for a better tomorrow.
